It’s a sad day for WWE fans. The man known most known for his many deaths in wrestling storylines, Paul Bearer, has passed.

As reported by WWE.com, the 58 year old man passed away with no details on the death being disclosed as of this time.

Paul Bearer, real name William Moody, was a part of wrestling for much of his life. Also known by the name Percy Pringle III, Bearer helped play manager to many stars in wrestling, a role he was playing to the day of his death.

Of course, his most noted and respected role was as Paul Bearer, manager to both the Undertaker and Kane while being the father of Kane. He would play helper, manipulator, and even controller at times in the constant struggle between the two Brothers of Destruction.

Not many managers have had such a lasting impact on the business to the level of Paul Bearer. The real shame is that he wasn’t able to be recognized for his work in WWE before his passing. I would hope that Bearer will be posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame sooner rather than later.

We here at Wrestle Enigma would like to extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by this sad loss.

Very sad about Paul Bearer,he was a great person and one of the original boys,he was what made wrestling great much love much respect HH

  1. Whether you’re the lowest jobber in the business or a legendary manager like this man was, it’s always sad to see a member of the wrestling business pass away.

Thanks for all the hard work, dedication, and memories you gave us, Paul. RIP.

  2. I was fascinated with the character of Paul E. Bearer ever since he first appeared with The Undertaker back in the day. OOOOOHHHHH YYYYEEEESSSSS. May he forever hoist the power of the urn.

  3. Such sad news. Paul Bearer played a huge role in my fandom for wrestling when I was growing up in the 90′s and kept it fun and entertaining. He will be missed and remembered.
