WWE Breaking News September 16, 2012: JBL Returning to Commentary at Night of Champions

As reported by several wrestling news outlets and by Jerry “The King” Lawler himself on Twitter, John “Bradshaw” Layfield will be returning to commentary tonight at Night of Champions.

WWE.com quickly confirmed the news, confirming that the former WWE Champion will partner up with Michael Cole tonight at the TD Garden in Boston. JBL had the following to say:

Although it is rumored that The Longhorn Loudmouth will only be returning to commentary for two nights, tonight and tomorrow on Raw, because of his upcoming Mount Kilimanjaro climb, I have to say that it will be great to have JBL back on commentary.

I am sure that he will receive a big nostalgia pop and his mic skills will be useful in commentary. It will be interesting to see if Michael Cole is once again a heel commentator tonight after Jerry Lawler’s heart attack on Monday or if JBL will once again antagonize Cole like he did back in his days as the SmackDown commentator.

What are your thoughts on JBL returning to commentary once again? Make sure to leave your thoughts below as Night of Champions will be going on the air in a bit over one hour.
