It wouldn’t be shocking to hear, but TNA may be using some AAA stars at TNA’s Lockdown PPV.
TNA has announced that they will run the 2013 Lockdown PPV at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. The rumor is that TNA may reach out to AAA in Mexico to work together for the event in an effort to sell tickets and generate interest in the market. Texas, especially San Antonio has a big Hispanic market and it has continued to grow over the years.
Mexican wrestling from CMLL and AAA is readily available there too. So, it’s not s shocker that many of them would know of AAA for example or not be interested in the idea of a Mexican promotion coming to San Antonio.
Jeff and Karen Jarrett, along with Abyss and others have worked with AAA in the past. And even today. They have also had AAA stars on TNA programming before. So they have an established relationship with the promotion.
This isn’t the first time that an American promotion has reached out to AAA about PPVs in the San Antonio area.
Back in 1997 when they held the Royal Rumble at the Alamodom. WWE used several AAA matches on the non-televised undercard and talent on the main card, including the Rumble match.
AAA has made itself known in the online circuits for quite some time and have easily trumped the oldest promotion in the world and their long time competitor CMLL. CMLL is where you watch a living cartoon and AAA is where you to to see the best wrestlers in Mexico and best talent compete. Along with the best matches seen. This according to Lucha critics. And trust me, they are on the button with this one.
So TNA working with them once again, is no shock if true. AAA’s large fanbase is one thing, but the professional ability they bring to any promotion they work with is huge for a place like TNA.
If AAA stars are used, count on them to be pretty darn good and wonderful to watch.

I love the idea. Hopefully this leads to some AAA wrestlers appearing on Impact on a semi regular basis.
Mmm Karen Jarrett.
Anyway, AAA better be a big enough promotion to help out TNA. A roughly 60,000 seat stadium was a horrible idea for TNA. AAA and TNA teaming should help boost the seat numbers and possibly PPV numbers. In regards to TNA’s product, Jeff Jarrett is a big part of AAA right? This could lead into a possible Jarrett/Aces & 8s leadership angle.
Heyyyyy…. I see Karen Jarrett in dat featured image ;)
Oh, and whatever puts more asses in seats for LOCKDOWN is all good with me.
*Horseface*
Consider me a horsef*cker then. ;-) x2,000
You’re Welcome Charlie
Meh whatever sells out that 4,000 seat configuration there going with. All I know is that if Aries vs. Hardy is maineventing (even though I’m only hours away) I ain’t fucking buying a ticket.
What if it’s that classic Aries vs a Broomstick?
Then I will camp outside the stadium months in advance out of sheer anticipation.
